Apple’s WWDC 2018 at June 4-8 in San Jose


Apple’s much-awaited 29th annual Worldwide Developers Conference is all set to be held on Monday, June 4 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. The conference will last through Friday, June 8.

Registration for the event has opened and will continue until Thursday, March 22 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. As usual, Apple WWDC attendees will be selected through a lottery system.

Tickets have been priced at $1,599. The lucky developers who succeed in winning the lottery can purchase WWDC ticket.

They must be a member of the Apple Developer Program or the Apple Developer Enterprise Program as of March 13, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time to enter the lottery.

This year, the tech giant is going to make up to 350 WWDC Student Scholarships available for students as well as members of STEM organizations. Those who receiver scholarships will get a free one-year membership to the Apple Developer Program and a free WWDC ticket. Scholarship submission is to open on Monday, March 26, 2018.

There will be more than 100 technical and design-focused sessions to help developers build the next generation of apps using newly announced technologies.

What to expect from WWDC 2018?

Apple will unveil iOS 12, macOS 10.14, tvOS 12, watchOS 5, and new software for the HomePod at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference. The company is also expected to debut new hardware products at the event.

The keynote event is expected to be held on Monday, June 4, where it will make major announcements about the forthcoming software and hardware products.

As per several rumors, the company may introduce lower-cost MacBook Air models and refreshed iPad Pro models with Face ID.
